Advent Offering
The Advent offering will be collected during the entire month of December. This is an offering above and beyond regular giving. The advent offering will be collected to support local missions as well as Evangelical Friends Missions. Please indicate on a check or church envelope “Advent Offering” or choose the “Advent Offering” in the drop down menu when paying online under “Fund”. Thank you!
Poinsettias In Loving Memory
Help us decorate the stage with beautiful Poinsettias in loving memory of your loved ones. Each poinsettia is $10 and their will be a tag indicating who it is in loving memory of. These are yours to take home after Christmas Eve service. Please complete the online form below. Christmas Eve Service
Please join us for our family friendly Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 4:30pm. The nursery will be open for ages 4 months - 2 years old. Activity packets will be available for school age kiddos.
Office Closed
The church office and building will be closed from December 25th, 2024 - January 2nd, 2025. We will reopen on January 3rd, 2025.
Dec 29th Online Service
Join us for an online service from the comfort of your home on December 29th @ 9:30am on EFC’s YouTube Channel. Missionary, Arabella Pichette, will be sharing an update with us and we will here from EFCER’s Multiplication Team. The church will not be open on this Sunday.
New Year 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting
Join us as we start our New Year “Waiting on the Lord” through 21 days of Prayer & Fasting. More information will be provided during service on January 5th.
Soup Kitchen
Our soup kitchen is the second Wednesday of every month. We serve at First Presbyterian Church at 4 Everett St. in Newport. It is located at the corner of Everett St. and Broadway. The meal is served promptly from 5-6 pm. If you are interested in helping serve please contact Emily Lyons at eklyons79@gmail.com.
Men's Ministry Breakfast
The men's ministry meets every other Saturday morning at the Newport Creamery in Middletown at 7:30am. They will be continuing their study in the book of Colossians. No need to RSVP, you are welcome to just show up.
One Church One Prayer
Come join us and other churches on the island as “One Church” in united prayer for our country, our state and Aquidneck Island. This month One Church One Prayer will meet at Community Baptist Church, 50 Dr Marcus Wheatland Blvd, Newport, RI 02840 at 7:00pm.
Oasis Youth Winter Camp
Register your teens (Gr 6-12) for the Encounter - Winter Camp at Berea's Camp Monadnock in Jaffrey, NH on February 14-16th. The cost for camp is $150 per person (originally $220) due to a generous donor and previous fundraisers. You have the option of paying in full now or pay a $25 deposit to reserve your teen's spot and the remaining $125 will be due by January 31, 2025. The cost includes Camp, an Oasis Youth sweatshirt, transportation,and a thank you gift for our bus driver.
